During or for?

Use DURING to talk about a period of time when something happens.
Example : I'm at work during the day, so it's better to phone in the evening.

Use FOR to say how long something happens or continues, for example 'for two hours, 'for three days'.
Example : They've been in Cambridge for six months now.
